Privacy policy

Last updated 11 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Digimpact collects through this website and when we work with you, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are

Digimpact builds websites, runs social media and builds business systems for UK businesses. For data collected through this website, the data controller is Digimpact. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@digimpact.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

The enquiry form

When you send the enquiry form we collect what you type: your name, your business name and town, your email address, the services you tick and your message, together with the page you sent it from. We use it to reply to you and to prepare a quote. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries you send us. Enquiries are stored in this website's database and emailed to us.

Social media plans paid online

If you subscribe to a social media plan online, payment is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details, name, email, phone number, billing address and business name, and we receive the details we need to set up and run your plan. We never see or store your full card number. The lawful basis is the contract between us.

Visits to this website

When you visit, we record your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay and how far you scroll. We use this to keep the site secure, to see which pages are useful, and to identify the organisation behind business visits, for example a company network, so we can follow up with businesses that show an interest. This identifies organisations, not private individuals. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and marketing our business. Visit records are kept for 90 days, then deleted.

If you choose Essential only in the cookie banner, we stop recording your visits. Our hosting provider still keeps basic server logs to keep the site secure.

Cookies

We set one small cookie to remember the choice you make in the cookie banner. We do not use advertising cookies.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers that make this website and our work function: our hosting provider (Hostinger), our email provider, IP address lookup services that tell us which organisation owns a network address and, for online payments, Stripe. Each processes data under its own safeguards. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

How long we keep data

Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and follow up, then deleted, normally within two years. Client records are kept for the length of our work together and the period the law requires for accounting.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email hello@digimpact.co.uk and we will reply within one calendar month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
